To create a new model of philanthropy that challenges the charitable sector to expand its concept of how to generate unrestricted income and work in partnership with Luckyman as a 501(c)(3) charity to generate that income through the sales of CDs and other forms of audio product including Internet sales as well as film, TV and DVD sales.
Celebrities and the Entertainment Industry have given much to charity. However, focus has been narrow or singular, and frequently sourced from a major event. Luckyman Records will offer an alternative means for recording artists to distribute their philanthropic product and monies into something that has a wider and more sustainable impact throughout the world. It will tap the power of the most popular musical artists to produce unique, captivating and marketable music
and film content, one artist at a time. These products will be made available to the charitable world. To many of the top 200 501(c)(3) charities and/or any that can be vetted per the wishes of each artist. Once placed with a Producing Company in Entertainment or Communications, Luckyman Records for Charity will become a 501(c)(3).
What is it?
At no cost to the charity, completed CD product will be supplied. All participating charities will also be supplied with promotional materials and, when needed, IT assistance.
To clarify: what we are proposing is to supply CDs to charities at no cost including promotion help with any monies needed and all fulfillment costs paid. In other words, there is no cost for production, promotion or distribution*.
An important part of the effort will be a marketing and promotion department specifically designed to cater to the needs of charities. If a charity’s guidelines prohibit direct sales to supporters and benefactors, Luckyman Records will supply a licensable entity able to do so. All at no cost to the charity.
As the effort develops, such online sales sites as Yahoo, Google, and Amazon may
become involved to help distribute product. This revenue will be applied to the subsequent project with surplus split between participating charities. The goal is to be partially self-sustaining by project #2 after film product sales and completely by project #3 considering filmic product sales and Internet sales, etc. of music and filmic product.

Production Quality and Uniqueness:
Luckyman Records product will be all acoustic and solo or small ensemble to cut costs and make available special, intimate recordings produced at the highest possible sound quality. Luckyman Records will present only the most popular musical artists, various and diverse, in a manner in which they have not yet been heard. These “most popular” artists are those with record sales and followers in the millions or tens of millions.0
Luckyman Records will take the newly accepted Music Industry term “Unplugged” to the ultimate expression, where one might instead use the term “Naked”. Material of the greatest personal meaning to each artist will be captured as essentially raw, stripped down recordings of the artist and their acoustic instrument(s). This approach to content, combined with unprecedented production quality, will create individual songs and full albums that allow participating artists to be heard as never before. In order to save money and increase intimacy, production will take place in each artist's home studio supplying any needed where-with-all. The desire is to cater to the artist's needs and make the process most convenient.
Video and Film:
There will also be TV and Film project revenue that will also be applied to the subsequent project with surplus split between participating charities commensurate with CD product sold. Whenever feasible, Luckyman Records will produce and distribute “The Making Of” documentaries with the possibility of multiple broadcast television shows and/or on-line material. Historically, programming of such world-renowned musicians is engaging and highly successful.
Considering the extreme popularity of Luckyman Records’ artists, and their cooperation and collaboration to raise the maximum funds for the charities, it is reasonable to assume that so called “viral” content can be generated to take full advantage of this new and truly powerful form of Internet marketing.

Luckyman Records is a vehicle whose time has come for the Entertainment Industry and the Non-Profit world. At a time when distribution in the Music Industry is in the process of being reinvented, Luckyman will utilize and expand the use of New Media Marketing techniques including YouTube, Twitter and Facebook. The result will be to widen the availability of Multi Definition downloads, exploit CDs as sales wane and introduce many to the organic sound quality and unique listening experience of vinyl LPs. And as the project develops single cut and album sales on MP3 may become most significant.
Of primary importance is the much-needed creation of a channel of significant and steady revenue for the beset Non-Profit world. Luckyman Records is not intended to be a one shot event to benefit a single charity. Instead, is being established to provide a source of regular, substantial cash flow to many charities in a time when charities are struggling and many are turning to commercial endeavors.
