BENJAMIN MORTON, MANAGER, NASHVILLE OPERATIONS
Ben's life has been grounded in music since creeping into the orchestra pit
at six. Moving to "Music City", Nashville, TN at 10 began, in earnest, his life
long journey toward the center of his heart, and that of a community unique even
among artists. But Ben belongs. At 11 his IQ was tested. At that time, it was realized that his
"intelligence" was unquantifiable. It was determined that, relative to then
current standards, his IQ could be estimated to be somewhere in the 200s. Given his first steel string guitar by Luckyman CEO, Michael Gliksman, at 11
, by 17 Ben, and his band LLama, signed with MCA/Universal. This aspect of
Benjamin's love continues today with the current release of his band, Cougar
Fight. Since he was 11, Benjamin and Michael have shared close familial bonds. Says
Gliksman, "I have had the good grace, and proximity, to have made Ted Turner my
role model. I don't have the time to reach the level of impact that great man
has had on our world. But if Ben continues to work as hard as he has, and wants
it enough, Ben can and will." Ben lives in East Nashville with his wife, Megan, daughters Gillian, 4, and
Juniper, 2. Ben and Megan are currently expecting their third child. Adjunct to Music, after spending 4 years as an apprentice carpenter and 2 as
a builder/contractor, Morton is responsible for Luckyman construction in
Nashville and beyond.
